A major work of vocal chamber music by Chinary Ung, setting text from the early Buddhist collection of Pali poems by Buddhist nuns, the Therīgāthā. Awarded an NEA ArtWorks grant, and co-sponsored by Chapman University and Scripps College, this piece premiered at Scripps College in March 2018, as part of the culmination of a week dedicated to exploring to the healing function of the arts in post-genocide Cambodian society. Performers included: Anne Harley and Stacey Fraser, voice/percussion; Susan Ung, viola/voice; Nick Terry, percussion/voice; and Brian Walsh, clarinets/voice. Parallel premiere: Chapman University, March 2018.
